The Fire of Night. Mystery, Opulence, and Shadow.
Lighting the Black Orchid Candle is the beginning of a theatrical ritual. Designed for spaces that are not afraid of intensity, this composition transforms the atmosphere into a refuge of dark sophistication. It is the scent of luxury when the sun sets.
Upon contact with heat, the vegetable wax releases a fascinating tension: the vibrant spark of White Grapefruit and Black Pepper opens the curtain, only to then surrender to the depth of Black Orchid and Violet. However, it is the fire that awakens the true character of the candle: a dense base of Black Oud, Sandalwood, and Amber that envelops the room in an almost narcotic warmth.
Ideal for lighting during intimate dinners, moments of deep introspection, or when you want to dress up the space for a special occasion.
Olfactory Architecture
- Family: Floral Oriental / Precious Woods.
- Top Notes: White Grapefruit, Black Pepper.
- Heart Notes: Black Orchid, Violet, Patchouli, Leather Rose.
- Base Notes: Black Oud, Sandalwood, Amber, Ylang Ylang, Musk.
- Presentation: 8 oz Candle (Slow Burn, 48 to 50 hours).
The Ritual of Fire
When lighting for the first time, allow the wax to melt to the edges of the container to prevent "tunneling." Before each new use, subtly trim the pure cotton wick. Black Orchid is a high-presence candle; its sillage lingers in the air even after it's extinguished.
For a complete enveloping experience, combine with the Black Orchid Diffuser.
The Chronicle
Why we pour in soy wax and not paraffin — the technical reason behind the 48 to 50 hours of burn time.
To properly enjoy the candle you're holding, it's important to follow these recommendations:
- When lighting the candle, you should leave it until the entire surface has melted. This first step will create a homogeneous melt pool that will make it burn evenly.
- Burn it for a maximum of 3 hours. The first use of the candle should occur within the first 2 months after receiving it, to fully enjoy its fragrance.
- Preferably extinguish the candle with a snuffer, as blowing it out can release soot.
- Never burn the candle all the way down.
- Before relighting, make sure the surface is solid and clean. Trim the wick to a height of 5mm.
- Try to use the candle on a separate base or plate.
- Do not leave the candle unattended, or within reach of children, pets, and curtains. Do not place the candle in front of a draft.
- Never move a lit candle.
