Intellectual Illumination. Fresh Wood and Aged Leather.
Lighting the Santal Candle is an act of spatial design. Its olfactory profile is celebrated for a fascinating tension: botanical coolness against woody warmth. It is not a traditional mystical scent, it is a modern, crisp composition.
Upon contact with the flame, the wax first releases the freshness of Eucalyptus and Bergamot, acting as a breeze of mental clarity. As the temperature rises, the true body of the fragrance emerges: the dry texture of Papyrus and Mysore Sandalwood, anchored in a sophisticated base of Leather and Musk. It is a light that smells of an architectural studio, old books, and order.
Ideal for lighting in the office, during deep reading sessions, or in minimalist spaces that require warmth without losing their freshness.
Olfactory Architecture
- Family: Woody / Aromatic.
- Top Notes: Eucalyptus, Bergamot.
- Heart Notes: Papyrus, Cardamom, Violet, Amber.
- Base Notes: Mysore Sandalwood, Leather, Musk.
- Presentation: 8 oz Candle (Slow Burn, 48 to 50 hours).
The Ritual of Fire
When lighting for the first time, allow the wax to melt to the edges of the container to prevent "tunneling." Before each new use, subtly trim the wick. Santal is a concentration candle; its aroma helps anchor the mind in the present moment.
For a complete enveloping experience (Scent Layering), combine with the Santal Diffuser.
The Chronicle
Why we pour in soy wax and not paraffin — the technical reason behind the 48 to 50 hours of burn time.
How to read the olfactory pyramid of this composition: eucalyptus as a top note, papyrus as a heart note, Mysore sandalwood as a base note.
To properly enjoy the candle you're holding, it's important to follow these recommendations:
- When lighting the candle, you should leave it until the entire surface has melted. This first step will create a homogeneous melt pool that will make it burn evenly.
- Burn it for a maximum of 3 hours. The first use of the candle should occur within the first 2 months after receiving it, to fully enjoy its fragrance.
- Preferably extinguish the candle with a snuffer, as blowing it out can release soot.
- Never burn the candle all the way down.
- Before relighting, make sure the surface is solid and clean. Trim the wick to a height of 5mm.
- Try to use the candle on a separate base or plate.
- Do not leave the candle unattended, or within reach of children, pets, and curtains. Do not place the candle in front of a draft.
- Never move a lit candle.
